You asked for feedback, so here goes:
ReplyDelete1. Please don't use so many file parts. There is no reason to do this except greed. I, like many others I am sure, appreciate the work you do in ripping and uploading the files, but when you chop the files up in to so many parts. It's just ridiculous.
2. Please learn to down sample. There is no way that 33min video should be like 2+ gig in size. That is just stupid. It is a waste of your time and a waste of our time. That file shouldn't be anymore than 200mb.
3. Rapidgator is a TERRIBLE host, and bitshare / ul aren't much better either. Zippyshare, 180upload, mediafire, etc are all much better hosts that are very fast for all users. Not just paid ones.
If you are concerned with making money - put a link refer in between like adf.ly or something like it.
You get paid, we don't have to spend an entire week trying to download a file.
Finally, I was actually pretty exicted to find this site, as I am always asking people to rip the video / animation from games, because I don't see any reason to play 99% of the games.
I was severely let down by the way you set up your file hosts, the file sizes, and not to mention there is no way to filter anything yet.
I hope you take this feedback to heart and make some changes here.
If you do, I guarantee you, your site will be considerably more popular than it is now.

Deleteas for encoding, there are some major issues with how i do it but there are reasons, main one being this video was done a long time ago and at that time, i had a shitty laptop, core 2 duo with 1.8 ghz so it wasn't an option with window movie maker.
no i dont use adobe, although im trying to learn it, and am pretty sure i can down size it but that laptop simply wont allow me to do it without killing the CPU, which is now dead and leads me to a few other laptops i own now, long story.
for filehost, i agree with rapidgator being shit, however on forums and such there are people requesting that filehost simply because they have premium on it, i make jack on that host about 5 cents so far out of like 500 downloads and i dont really want to use it, but too bad i would have to stick to it for something of a file this size, this many parts.
i split into part because if you were to download a 2gb file and jdownloader or w/e download accelerator you use disconnects you and not resume, you're fucked which leads to parts and could and should be solved by down sizing my video, which leads to more time.
in the end, these are problems i am aware of and i have the ability to do it now, just no time. i work full time, i study in university, and i want sometime to myself and have fun and its pretty difficult to have it all, but probably not a valid excuse since i could take 1 laptop and let it run for a period of time while using another, so i'll look into this.
